Sarah & Carl

Weddings.   Oh, how I LOVE a good wedding… Sarah & Carl could NOT have been a better bride and groom to shoot either.  They were fun, easy going, patient, and most of all, so in love!  And still are!  :)

I had my good friend Jennifer from “Out Of The Box Photography” help me on this shoot, and she did a great job.  Thanks Jen!   While I hung out with the bride, she handled the groom and helped with portraits, and did a FINE job of all of it.  I really appreciate Jen’s very outgoing personality and technical ability.  We also work well together as we did another wedding together just recently (but more on that in a another, later, post!)

The wedding itself was a pretty traditional ceremony in a beautiful church that Sarah’s great-grandfather built.  Or, was it her grandfather?  Sarah, Carl or Kerrie (Sarah’s mom) will correct me if I’m wrong!  Simply a wonderful small church in Lynnwood.  The only difficulty was the inability to use flash during the ceremony or pass the front row pew, but Jen and I made it work.  One thing I really liked was that the bride and groom were traditionally sequestered… Carl did not see how beautiful Sarah looked in her dress until she started walking down the aisle.  Truly memorable.  It did make for some rushed post-ceremony portrait and wedding party shots, but I think Jen and I handled the pressure well and produced some great images for this great couple.

One of my favorite weddings from last year, and two great people I am still in contact with… I’m looking forward to shooting some pregnancy and baby pics!  ;)   Oh, too soon?  Love you guys!
